GTX 1080 Ti

As we all know, NVIDIA is known as one of the leading purveyors of graphics cards which are greatly used in Virtual Reality. NVIDIA has been the go-to solution for the majority of us, so we know that something good is coming when the company launches a brand new High-end graphics card. It's almost frightening to see the rate at which the GPU industry moves, And the company does it once again, bringing to us its latest GPU(Graphics processing unit) which presents itself to us with a big performance bump, and is said to be loaded with the best VR experiences.

The new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is NVIDIA's new flagship gaming GPU that is based on the NVIDIA Pascal™ architecture and has been designed to be the fastest graphics card that the company has offered to us till date which also includes out-running the GeForce GTX Titan X Pascal in the race. It, therefore, does succeed in topping the lineup of NVIDIA’s graphics cards and proves to be the ultimate GEFORCE so that you can be game ready!

The eye-catching specs for the GPU itself comprises of 12 billion Transistors, a 1.6 GHz Clock speed and an amazing memory speed of 11Gbps that used to be 10 Gbps on the Titan X Pascal. Apart from this it also features,

  • 3584 CUDA Cores (The same as Titan X Pascal)

  • 352-bit memory bus (384-bit on Titan X Pascal)

  • 11 GB of RAM (12 GB on Titan X Pascal)

  • 250 Watt TDP (Same as GTX Titan X Pascal)

The GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be 35 percent faster on average than a GTX 1080, that simply means that it will outperform the GTX Titan X Pascal in the world of gaming and Virtual Reality(VR). And this turns out to be a good thing because it means that VR developers can now start to look at creating eye-candy features in their applications and on the contemporary, we can start thinking about increasing the resolution of VR HMDs down the road as well. And since there are already many higher resolution displays available out there, graphics cards like the GTX 1080 Ti will play a critical role in enabling those high resolutions at acceptable frame rates.

It does not end right here, NVIDIA also introduces to us their own tool to measure VR quality called FCAT VR in addition to announcing support for VR benchmarks. This very tool is built on their frame capturing technology which discovers real-world performance and actual frames displayed to the headset. Adding to it all again, they also introduce an advanced data analysis tool with FCAT data analyzer that would allow anyone to analyze a game or an application’s behavior.

NVIDIA definitely does aim at unleashing your Gaming dominance with this breakthrough iteration in the world of Graphic cards and it turns out to be something for all VR Enthusiasts that they can't afford to miss upon.
