Sonos speakers can combine Amazon Alexa with other assistants
Sonos is planning to launch a smart speaker with support for voice assistants like Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa on 4th October. This is just the rumor and there is no official confirmation from the company but, Sonos also recently tweaked its privacy policy with language that explicitly mentions voice control, which adds to the rumor.
This should not surprise many people as last year the company said that it is working on such speaker as it announced its partnership with Amazon. According to some rumor, it is expected that the speaker will support several different voice platforms. The one platform, Amazon Alexa is confirmed but don’t get surprised if it also supports Google Assistant or even Apple’s Siri. The speakers can also support Microsoft’s Cortana and Samsung’s Bixby.
Sonos speaker has the potential to create a buzz in the market as most of the smart speaker forces users to use one assistant. But, Sonos will allow users to mix and match services which will give a massive edge to the company over other considering the fact that not everyone in a household may run on the same platform.
Well, these are just the guess but for actual confirmation, we will have to wait till 4Th October.
